Blooming Winter!!!

Blooming Winter!!!
If like me you are a fan of all things bright, printy, cheery and wonderful and itch if you wear too much black, our arctic UK winteryness doesn't mean you have to look drab and boring.

Here i layered a SS11 Monsoon Eva tunic, black 90 deniers and a very old Monsoon sequined cardigan up to keep me warm and toasty whilst blooming brilliant also.
An extra waist-cinching trick to tie the belt over the little dress, not only pulling the print and cardigan together, but also making ones waist appear teeny tiny. Who knew the massive piece of chocol…

Legs Eleven

Legs Eleven
'Show a bit of leg'.  I am quite sure everyone reading this has heard this, read this, been told this or said this at some point in there life. As far as i have always been concerned, it has always been quite acceptable to 'show a bit of leg'.  But when in gods name did it become okay to show it all?!?

By all I am not talking everything, i may be slightly exaggerating. I am also not talking about actual flesh.  But recently and it seems especially since it has turned wintery here, i find myself constantly faced with girls bottom…

Bubble and Boutique

Bubble and Boutique
I am very pleased and excited as my lovely Monsoon Boutique home bits have arrived!!! Ta da!! For those of you who don't know what the bobbins i am going on about, Monsoon have just launched a new range to run along side their current beautiful home bits and bobs.  Monsoon Boutique is different to the main home ware range. Firstly it is only available exclusively online, and then secondly (and my favourite part), all the products produced in the boutique range are made using up cycled Monsoon fabrics, working with fairtrade producers and w…

Hi Brow(s!)

Hi Brow(s!)
Having always been blonde, allbeit more of the bottle variety now compared to when i was younger, i have never had to really think about my eyebrows. I have an odd facial set up. Although my hair is naturally now probably a very dark blonde and my eyelashes are naturally pretty close to black, my eyebrows have always stayed very pale blonde.  Or more accurately - invisible.  Because of this i have never given them much thought.  Never really tweezed them, or shaped them or really spent much time doing anything with them, other than dabbing a b…

I Dont Do Weddings

I Dont Do Weddings
I am having a rather big dilemma. One which never in my wildest dreams did i ever imagine would happen to me.

Like most girls, i often think i have nothing to wear. Nothing that suits the occassion, nothing that feels right on that precise day and nothing that makes me feel good.  Normally this is nonesense, infact it is always nonsense, especially if you had seen the state of our spare room/room-drobe situation.  Normally when i think i have got nothing to wear, its actually just that my creative-ness isnt working properly and it just takes me…

Its Autumn, Darling

Its Autumn, Darling
Finally finally Darlingclothes.com have their Autumn Winter 2011 look book online. Do you think it was the almost instant switch to Autumn that seems to have happened over the last weekend?!

For those of you who have never heard of Darling, i would really recommend you have a little nosey. I fell in love with the label a year ago when i came across it in Hoopers. The'yre a London based company who have been on the scene since 2008. And if you are the sort of person who likes timeless, British design for a really good price, they'll be r…

Everyone Likes a Look-ey Like

Everyone Likes a Look-ey Like
Its true. Whilst i am not generally a fan of a blatant designer rip off, i couldnt help but noticing that Republic now stock Mel Shoes. To be honest, its a brand i've only recently heard of but they really remind me of Vivienne Westwoods Anglomania jelly style shoes from Spring Summer. Plus they are but a snippet of the price. AND given that it is generally wet here in Cumbria, one cant go wrong with a shoe of the wipable variety that isnt a welly.

Definetly worth having a goosey gander at, online or in The Lanes…

Here We Go

Here We Go
I end this week feeling like i could have actually progressed a little further in my blog shaped travels.  Due to being on holiday from Monsoon towers for the last week i had planned to get this show on the road - something i have been toying about getting around too for some time. Truth is, i think i am little apprehensive.  That and the fact that i thought this would all be a doddle. But i keep fannying about and tweaking and twonking at things.

Ever since i got my first job in a little sweetshop in the middle of nowhere, before i moved to …
