Right About Now

Right About Now
Today is Sunday.  Officially the best day in the week, by a mile.  Today so far has been a day of 10am wake ups (heaven); breakfast of maple and raisin pancakes with Lady Grey tea and lots of hugs;  and a surprisingly warm and sunny afternoon bike ride.  I had half expected to wake up today and for Autumn to have reared its pretty little head.

I say this as this week i have actually been cold.  Cold. As in, cardigan wearing.  Of not hesitating - but taking a coat.  Considering tights.  Not sleeping with the window open quite so much.  I love …

She gives them butterflies, bats her cartoon eyes
I woke up this morning, at the unfortunate hour of 8.30am, to find sunlight peeping through the sky light and on to the duvet - more than enough of an excuse to get up that early on a Sunday! So after some tea and toast, with a little helping of the Junior Great British Bake Off, i decided i would head to the park before Mr Sunshine changed his mind…(and just so you know i am actually writing this at 4pm and it is POURING).

Due to the ever changeable weather up here, my wardrobe skills really have been tested this Summer.  My maxi dresses have …

Today i planned to lie on the sofa, read September Elle, tear bits out of Elle (sorry Elle) and do some cutting and sticking.  As it turned out, by 11am it was glorious sunshine and it seemed rude to stay curled up for long. These kinds of tasks can be done in the evening when the sun has gone to sleep.

Instead i met an old friend who was visiting from London town, and Amanda and her lovely little kiddiewinkles for tea and scones and then headed to do a few laps of Bitts Park with Willow.

I plan to do more of an outfit style post on my get up …

I Run Around Town...
I feel a little bad as my lovely day yesterday was not very royal, regal or jubilee-ey at all!! I caught a quarter of the Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace, then watched the Made in Chelsea season finale instead, then fell asleep! Don't judge me too harshly!!

I did however have the loveliest little bike jaunt with Willow, it being so lovely and sunny and all.  And i suppose we did ride under some bunting.  But i also got a little snap happy at all the summery-ness too and so i thought id share a bit…

Beautiful lovely blue skies!  Really h…

Finding Spring

Finding Spring
I have been looking for Spring recently.  I know i might be a bit early…but its on the March side of February now so i thought, it can't be faraway.

Once Halloween and Bonfire night are gone, i look forward to Winter and say pip pip to Autumn for another year.  Winter is definitely my most favourite of all the seasons.  But this year it was much much milder.  Still i forced on my layers - jumpers, hoods, mittens and thick coloured tights, hoping that i could will the snow and frost to come.  But it was not to be.

Once a little warmer and …
