Curled Up

Curled Up
There is no escaping the fact that today was the GREYEST day there ever was.  Waking up at 9am to an alarm i don't remember setting and rubbing my eyes to welcome a morning i don't remember agreeing too.  Days are hazy GREY, damp and the sky seems endlessly filled with rain filled clouds.  They burst without warning, drenching anything and everything with icy winter showers.

I feel glad to have filled our little home with some signs of SPRING, since the other side of the window is failing me miserably.  I have taken to giving our litt…
Lately has been lovely.  Mornings seem so much brighter - to the point that i am running round simultaneously eating porridge, applying mascara and putting tights on, thinking that i am late. I never am.  I am just so used to doing these things in the dark!  I think Spring is trying its very hardest to get here - i can't wait. I want to buy daffodils, but i am holding back.  We have only just finished the back log of mulled wine and other similar spiced beverages.  I don't want to peak too soon.  There is plenty time for fresh flowers …

If Chanel Did Ducks

If Chanel Did Ducks
Well oh well i don't need to tell you (if you live in the glorious British Isles) that today has been a day mostly filled with rain wind rain wind.  Then rain and wind together.  There was a momentary break at roughly 6pm.  You could almost hear Cumbria hold her breath in anticipation - i was filled with the false hope of a couple of laps of Bitts Park. In the time it took to wander homeward (ten minutes), unfasten shoes (a minute?!) and to tug a dress over my head (four minutes?! There are no buttons or zips and so no dignity is spared fo…

All the Ducks are Swimming in the Water

All the Ducks are Swimming in the Water
Now i am not one for trend following…as such, or for hop skip and jumping all over something that a million people have raved on about.  But sometimes when something gets so much attention, you can't help but have a little peep!

Way back in May, Topshop brought out a pair of such beautiful beautiful swan print, narrow leg trousers, and a little skater skirt in the same print, and then a little bra-let too.  I got so excited.  I kept seeing them everywhere - in magazines, all over blogs, on people in the street.  As much as seeing so much of…

Sunday Shaped

Sunday Shaped
Sundays are quite possibly my favourite day of the week. This is largely due to the fact that it is the only day of the week that i get to spend the whole and entire day with the Mr.  This is his only day off, and i probably work one in every five Sundays - not a bad deal!

I can never imagine not putting any thought whatsoever into what i am wearing, but on Sundays, i am always drawn to softer colours, softer fabrics and cosier clothes.  Last Sunday was no exception.  Once we returned from our little jaunt out, i popped on my ever faithful flow…
