You've really got a way with words, Sally! I think we've got exactly the same type of hair. Mine is always dead straight and flat, and it's impossible to do anything to it! It doesn't hold curls for any longer than about half an hour, even with hairspray. Like you I've always envied those with big curls or thick, voluminous hair. The grass is always greener, I guess! I'm slowly learning to like my hair for what it is though, and about a year ago I also made the decision to go back to my natural hair colour (mousy blonde) after years of dying it brown (because that made it look thicker somehow...). Oh dear, now I've rambled on for too long. Anyway, your new hair colour looks so so pretty!

I have thick, wavy hair - curly when I was younger. I've always yearned to have straight blonde hair! The closest I've come are some subtle highlights. I'm just not brave enough - but maybe one day I'll stop being a mousey-mouse. I think your new shade looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteReally interesting read Sally. Coco was right I think. I had longer hair most of my younger years and then cut it short last year. It was a safety blanket I realised I didn't need anymore. I thought I was hanging on to my youth when in fact it made me feel older somehow. Good decision anyway, sometimes when you know, you know! Xx
ReplyDeleteAah I loved this post, your hair is always so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm desperately in need of a hair cut and colour, maybe something is about to change for me, eek! :)
