From Paris with Pom Poms...

The thrill of finding something old and special at the very bottom of your wardrobe/cupboard/draw is often as much as the thrill of a new purchase.  I completely forgot about the spectacular gem that is my lovely pom pom scarf.  After a big wintery woolly clear out/heave ho, it was gazing up at me amongst the jumble of red mitten (i have yet to find its partner in finger warming crime), berets, bobble hats and general wintery paraphernalia.  I instantly wrapped it around my shoulders - i was wearing my pyjamas at the time.

I don't recollect wearing the scarf too much last year.  Its quite pom pom-ey - it goes best with a chunky cardigan or blazer, anymore and its a bit overwhelming.  I fell in love with this wooly gem about three years ago, when Accessorize first stocked them. I can remember the wintery window from that year - simply a backdrop and hundreds and hundreds of pom pom scarfs hanging every which way.  It was definitely one of my favourite windows and this scarf is definitely one of my favourite wintery items - even if it sometimes gets lost amongst its woolly friends!

Its a really iconic product for us and when we first stocked them i can remember selling out over and over again.  Over the years we have done lots of different colourways - greys, pastels, brights - and this years addition features lots of little fur pom poms.  (not my favourite - reminds me too much of rabbit tales!).   There is still one just like mine here if u fancy a pom pom fix.

I wanted everything else to be quite simple and so stripes seemed like a perfect partnership - oh and my trusty maxi skirt to add a little bit of drama…and to keep my ankles cosy.

Every time i wear this scarf i get asked if i have made it…..now that would be impressive!!

I am on my third mug of lady grey in the last hour and my fourth digestive….this could be a slippery slope!!!
