Wonderful Wednesday #112

Wonderful Wednesday #112
{Whatever the weather fixer:  Willow the pushbike in all of her glory!} I'm having one of those kinds of weeks.  There is no real rhyme or reason:  I've been sleeping like a log - the heavy-headed 'even a bomb couldn't wake me' and 'as soon as your head hits the pillow' {at a reasonable hour too may i add} kind.  There's an extra hour of daylight each day now {which is actually starting to make my evenings feel much longer and lovelier!} and I'm eating healthily and properly.  Yet still i feel a little bit li…

Little Happenings

Little Happenings
I am writing this having had a pretty LOVELY and perfectly needed sort of a Saturday.  A lazy late wake-up after having my eyes shut so tight that i had the smallest hint of a headache when i woke up and a dream about Mary Berry coming into work to ask me why i hadn't applied for The Great British Bake-Off!  Luckily my headache soon disappeared after a mug as big as my head of milky Lady Grey under the duvet and then three large slices of Fig & Hazelnut bread, toasted and spread with bitter orange marmalade.  Whilst LATELY has sort of …

Currently #22 - Some Thoughts on Cycling
(All photos taken from Pinterest HERE) I don't mind telling you i HATE exercise. I like moving don't get me wrong.  In fact i can't bear to sit still.  But the thought of any kind of exercise class leaves me running in the opposite direction.  At least it would if i COULD run.  I once tried and damaged my legs so much that i had to get the bus down the road to work each day and go down any kind of stair on my bottom for two whole weeks.  True story!  Turns out you need the correct shoes and a vague idea of how to warm up before you …

A bicycle ride: vlogged

A bicycle ride: vlogged
So it's been a little while coming, but today i wanted to share with you not only one of my very favourite places, but also my very first TENTATIVE dip into the world of vlogging!  Cripes!  Somehow this feels like much more of a big deal to me than sharing snippets of my little life in photo/word form.  I am not quite sure why. I think that it feels a lot more real, a little less filtered and just me being ME!  I have never really been into watching vlogs, largely because in the past i have found them to seem to always witter on about make…

Find Me

Find Me
Looking Up //Always and with out a shadow of a doubt.  I am usually found in some sort of blossom daze.  Always looking up, not paying attention, bumping into things and not watching where i am going.  My spacial awareness disappears when it comes to skies and blossom.  not that i had any to start with

Cycling forwards//Backwards.  Sideways.  Left to right.  Upside down.  Okay not upside down exactly.  But i take these two wheels whenever i can and even when i can't i try my damndest.  Because do you know, when its that beautiful out there…

Sunday and Some

Sunday and Some
It's OK. you can come out from under wherever you have been HIDING.  The monster of grumpiness which had mostly invaded my little self for the most part of last week has subsided.  Phew.  I was beginning to wonder if that little THUNDER cloud would ever pass.  Do you ever get like that?  I am convinced that i just needed some vitamin D - some sunshine and today we were spoilt with rays of sun and blue skies as far as the eye could see.  I checked the forecast for the week ahead in my delirious sun-burnt (slight exaggeration) state, only to…

'S' is for Sunday

'S' is for Sunday
It has felt so very long since i truly appreciated and enjoyed a SUNDAY.  It's the one day we can all be excused for moving a little slower; being a little lazier and treasuring every single thing we do.  I am often annoyed when i wake up early on a SUNDAY morning.  That sort of  'i'm awake awake and past the point of returning to my slumbers' kind of wake up where the best action is just to admit defeat.
This morning was exactly that.  An 8am disturbance of the cosiest most needed sleep, after a particularly late night too. I c…
