Gold Dust

Gold Dust
If you don't know it by now, there is something magical that occurs a little short of an hour before the sun slips away into tomorrow:  That which we all know as 'The GOLDENHOUR.'  It's a bewitching and magical fifty minutes or so of the most dreaming, hazy and romantic light that you could ever imagine and it's a photographers DREAM.  When you gaze up at a bright blue and cloudless sky on a sunny afternoon in April you never imagine that it could get any better.  But it does.  Our dear and sweet GOLDENHOUR has been falling…

Some Goings On

Some Goings On
It's a funny thing 'TIME' isn't it?  It's something we all have something say about, just like the weather.  Some want more, some have too much (seriously though who ARE you folk?!)  and some are happy with their time-share (GETIT?!).  For me, time is something i shall always have a love/hate relationship with:  ie there is never enough of it!  Being in a job that keeps me endlessly busy:  the non-stop 'do one thing off the to-do list, add six' kind of busy; means i really struggle to sit still and to switch off whe…

Bit of Glitter

Bit of Glitter
It's been getting a bit SPARKLY around these parts lately.  Sometimes i fail to know quite where and what inspires me.  Often it just comes out of nowhere:  I'll be tearing, cutting and sticking and begin to see a pattern forming.  Or there'll be a similarity in what colours i opt for in what i wear.  Sometimes it's influenced by the seasons, sometimes it's quite out of the blue and catches me by surprise.  Lately has been just that:  a little subtle and I suppose quite un-seasonal hint at sparkle and glitter… I fell head ov…

A bicycle ride: vlogged

A bicycle ride: vlogged
So it's been a little while coming, but today i wanted to share with you not only one of my very favourite places, but also my very first TENTATIVE dip into the world of vlogging!  Cripes!  Somehow this feels like much more of a big deal to me than sharing snippets of my little life in photo/word form.  I am not quite sure why. I think that it feels a lot more real, a little less filtered and just me being ME!  I have never really been into watching vlogs, largely because in the past i have found them to seem to always witter on about make…

Sunday in Senses

Sunday in Senses
Sunday is my favourite day of the week hands down.  I am rarely lucky to bag a whole weekend off work, but Sundays, well i only work one in three.  There is nothing nicer than sinking into bed late on a saturday evening, knowing that you can sleep until your eyes want to wake up and indulge in a more luxurious breakfast and two cups of tea instead of just one.  Today i thought i would share my favourite day in 'senses' with you…

Week of Calm

Week of Calm
It has been a funny old WEEK.  I am still struggling with my sleep this week which for me, a little bit impacts on everything else in life! I am putting it down to being in work, then off work. Then in work, then off work.  I need to get back into some kind of night time routine instead of munching biscuits and camomile tea at silly o' clock!  Despite my sleepiness it has been a productive week at Monsoon Towers, what with window changes, floor-moves and 'Spring-ifying' our little shop beyond belief.  It looks a delight or colour, …

Lessons Learnt

Lessons Learnt
This week has been tiring and trying.  I feel almost and completely WHACKED, despite being off today.  Sometimes i feel like with just one day off, and a big list of jobs, errands and general things to attend to, when i finally stop i could quite happily just curl up and sleep for a week.  This has nothing to do with the two GIGANTIC mugs of Lady Grey and half a packet of M&S mini-eggs i have just consumed.  Oh no no no.  What have i learnt this week?* * **  That SALLYTANGLE is something i should be proud of.  And probably learn how to tal…
